I see photographs and the making of photographs as invitations to experience or reexperience familiar states of being. I believe we all have a longing to be visible – a hunger to reveal our stories and backstories – even if just for an instant of exposure before retreating within. Using the process of medium format, I work intuitively and reflectively, subconsciously creating a delicate palette informed by the perspective of each unique circumstance.
